The Producers’ Forum, a West Midlands based training and networking organisation for film producers, still has places on its Emerging Producer Training Course. The Skillset funded course is part of A Bigger Future and the programme is for film industry professionals with the desire to increase their abilities as producers.
The Producers’ Forum will be delivering the series of training sessions throughout 2009 aimed specifically at Emerging Producers. The Emerging Producer Training Programme aims to bridge the skills gap that exists between producers who have experience of short film production and those that are actively involved in feature film and long form drama production and is being led by NPA trainer and film industry professional Rebecca Knapp. Through a series of industry workshops hosted by active film producers, financiers, lawyers and distribution experts, participants will be given a detailed insight into the role of a feature film producer during the development, production and post-production of a feature film.
