A five day festival promoting Black cinema in the region and the involvement of people of colour in the film industry, as well as providing platforms for producers of films to showcase their works to the general public. incorporating film screenings, music videos, live arts and education providing platforms for practitioners and artists to express themselves. This concept makes for a festival of this nature to be better suited to this region and facilitates the culturally diverse emerging identities in the community in a new and challenging way. The festival's premier event is the MVS Awards to be held this year at the ICC Birmingham this ceremony  rewards the efforts of individuals who has contributed the industry over the past year.
