Independent Cinema Office (ICO) - Training Bursaries
We can cover the costs of getting to and from the course.
Here's a list of the courses coming up:
What we fund:
- We can support for up to 2 individuals per year, per organisation to attend ICO training.
- We can only fund up to £100.00 for accommodation and travel combined.
- Accommodation costs up to £75.00.
- Standard return rail fares and any public transport expenses involved in getting to and from the venue.
- If traveling by car we will reimburse costs equivalent to standard return rail fare to the venue, and parking costs.
What we do not fund:
- The cost of the training course.
- Any cost not directly related to travel or accommodation, e.g. meals, refreshments, room service etc.

If your application is successful, to claim your funds you must provide:
- Evidence from ICO that you have attended the course. Confirmation of your reservation of a place on the course is not suitable. You must provide a letter from ICO stating that you actually attended.
- Receipts for accommodation.
- Receipts for any public transport used including taxis.
- If travelling by car, we will refund you what it would have cost had you travelled by rail or bus. Therefore you must provide the stations you would be travelling from and to if travelling by rail, and the standard return rail cost for this journey.
- If travelling by car and claiming parking, you must provide parking receipts.
To receive your payment you must submit all your receipts and documentation within a month of attending the training course.
