Screen WM’s Production Liaison Manager, Stephen Badham, took part in the UK Film Council’s UK Familiarisation Trip for Hollywood producers on Wednesday 7th October.
Speaking in his capacity as Chair of the UK Inward Investment and Locations Group, made up of representatives from the UK’s regional and national screen agencies and film offices, Stephen gave a 30 minute presentation on a selection of the UK’s regions and what they could offer to filmmakers. This included details of the West Midlands’ finest locations and information on what assistance could be given to producers looking to locate their productions in the region.
The presentation was very well received by the producers’ group, which included Executives from the major Hollywood studios including Disney, Paramount, Dreamworks and Twentieth Century Fox. The participants also received gift bags containing some of the region’s most iconic brands, such as Cadbury’s chocolate and Shakespearean mementos!
