"Confetti," written and directed by Coventry filmmaker Debbie Isitt, became the first feature film to receive co-finance from Screen WM in 2004.

The film follows three couples as they strive to win the coveted 'Most Original Wedding of the Year' prize (and a brand new house into the bargain) from Confetti magazine, and brings together an impressive comedy ensemble, which includes amongst others, Martin Freeman (“Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, “Love Actually”, “The Office”), Jessica Stevenson (“Shaun of the Dead”, “Spaced”), Steve Mangan (“Green Wing”), Felicity Montagu (“I’m Alan Partridge”), comedian Jimmy Carr and Alison Steadman (“Topsy Turvy”, “Life is Sweet”).

The film was edited in the West Midlands from over 100 hours of footage thanks to the documentary-like filming style which allowed the cast to improvise their way through scenes without a script. The end result was trailed in Cannes in 2005 and as a result picked up worldwide distribution from Fox Searchlight.
