Skills Development

business foundation

During 2005, business foundation filled the business development training gap that was identified as a much needed area for support.

It was aimed at individuals who had been operating successfully as a freelancer or small company, but needed to build an understanding of how to develop a viable business.

Participants attended a minimum of 4 day long workshops and took part in one-to one sessions to discuss the following issues and impact within their own individual business.

  • Self development and self organisation
  • Understanding what’s out there – trends/markets/competitors/stakeholders
  • Presentation and communication – persuasion and negotiation
  • Goal setting, planning, understanding cash flow and costs, business planning
