Skillset’s bi-annual Census of the audio visual industries is the independent measure of the shape and size of the industry by sector. Skillset seeks to profile the Broadcast, Radio, Video and Interactive Media industries’ workforce by breaking down the number of employees, freelancers, women, ethnic minorities and disabled people working within the sector on Census Day. The information collected allows the industry to identify changes in the labour force, chart areas of growth and decline and target investment in skills development to ensure industry needs are met.
