Faintheart ‘Heart Map’ goes live! – Vote for the West Midlands!

Faintheart, the world's first user generated film and co-financed by Screen West Midlands will be released in a groundbreaking way, being screened simultaneously for one day only, in 150 cinemas and on MySpace on Tuesday 27th January. The DVD will then follow on Monday 2nd February.
At the core of this innovative plan is the MySpace ‘Heart Map’ which will decide the locations of the 150 free screenings. The application enables users to enter their postcode on the ‘Heart Map’ which makes the heart visibly grow in that location on the map. The 150 places with the biggest hearts will be selected for the free screenings.

You can vote by visiting: www.myspace.com/faintheartthemovie

Clubbed - film trailer

CLUBBED
“Within an inch of your life”

Writer: Geoff Thompson (Romans 12:20, Brown Paper Bag, Bouncer)
Director: Neil Thompson (Taxi!, My Stigmata Hurts)
Producers: Neil Thompson and Martin Carr (The Human Body, Vacuuming Completely Nude in Paradise)

Cast List: Louis Colin Salmon (The Bank Job, Match Point, Die Another Day)
Danny Mel Raido (Long Time Dead, He Kills Coppers-tv)
Ron Shaun Parkes (The Mummy Returns, Notes on a Scandal)
    Sparky Scot Williams (Backbeat, Tempesta)
Angela Maxine Peake (Shameless, See No Evil: The Moors Murders)

CLUBBED is a feature film based in the Midlands, filmed on location in Birmingham and co-financed by regional screen agency Screen West Midlands.

“Few films successfully negotiate the tricky expansion from short to feature but Special People is a happy exception. Justin Edgar's adaptation of his 12 minute 2005 short builds on the original material without diluting any of its sharp humour and also provides a deeper sense of the characters and their lives. The story of a film-maker working with a group of disabled teenager is used to create a well-observed tale with a big heart. The result is very likeable. This is a very disciplined piece of work with the kind of trim running time that leaves audiences wanting more”
Screen International.

4iP Pre-launch: Suzie Norton

Suzie Norton, CEO at Screen WM, describes the partnership with Channel 4 and internal restructuring of Screen WM.
